IONOS SE (formerly 1&1 Internet AG) is a German internet service provider founded in 2018 and headquartered in Montabaur (Rhineland-Palatinate). The company is part of the United Internet Group and emerged from the web hosting business of the former 1&1 brand. IONOS is one of the leading European providers of cloud and hosting services. It operates over ten of its own data centers in Europe and the USA, which are powered entirely by renewable energy (CO₂-neutral). The provider is aimed in particular at small and medium-sized companies and offers flexible cloud servers, virtual servers (VPS) and managed hosting packages, including 24/7 customer support and personal service agents.
